I’m not originally from France, but after more than 25 years living in the South of France, it has very much become home.
Perhaps because I arrived here from somewhere else, I’ve never stopped noticing its beauty — the light, the old stone, the architecture, the landscape and that unmistakable Mediterranean way of living. Even after all these years, I still find inspiration in it every day.
Villa Altrove grew from that fascination, combined with a curiosity for what architecture could become if there were no limits. Using AI, I imagine houses that feel 80% real and 20% impossible — rooted in Mediterranean architecture, yet pushed just beyond what could normally be built.
The artworks in this collection come directly from those imagined spaces. They first appear on the walls of villas that don’t exist, created for rooms and houses where architecture has no limits. I then bring those artworks out of their fictional homes and into the real world — allowing a small piece of Villa Altrove to exist beyond the screen.
